  Bush's speech -- I'll be the first to admit...

  ...it was an effective speech.

  i was impressed, and thought it only fair to say so here given the recent political discussions.

  I find you are "neatly" packaging and categorizing individual opinions about BUSH and his speech to fit your political paradigm.

  You seem to have departed from disagreeing with the popular impression that BUSH delivered a much better performance than usual, and when challenged by an individual's tenacity for that inference, you segway into an analysis of the content; i.e. "what is America getting into" and "will we go nuclear".

  Those are valid questions and deserve consideration, but the original subject centered around the public performance of the president, specifically his ability to deliver an oral message.

  His performance was in fact better than usual, with only one instance of losing his place or fumbling near the end. The sentences were obviously brief, but the words were bold, and it contained enough cliches to satisfy current emotions.

  If you want to examine and scrutinize the content, please begin.

  LET'S MAKE A LITTLE WAGER

  perhaps you recall the instance in the bible where samson made a wager with the philistines that they couldnt guess his riddle.

  as it turned out they wheedled the answer out of him by his fiancee, but the point is that they had a wager.

  since the underlying assumption of the apostasy is that we are not living in the last days of this system of things, and that this world is not facing anything remotely like the biblical apocalypse, at least not any time soon, in the spirit of such antagonism, i would like to propose a similar wager.

  Don't tell me you have another prediction? If you do, please be extremely specific, concise and clear so that everyone can understand in black and white what you are predicting.

  Please answer this question, are you now predicting that the Battle of Armageddon as described in the Book of Revelation (NWT) is going to occur before the end of October 2001? Simple YES or NO will suffice.

  If that is not what you are predicting at all, then any prediction other than that becomes like a vague weather forecast. It is inconsequential.

  I know when I re-read those lists and think of the vast amounts of money pouring into Israel, I am outraged.

  I would rather pour $2.00 a month into a fund providing scholarships for children in need, or to feed the homeless. Almost any other cause would nobly stand out against this type of government pork - no insult intended.

  No one is silent here, at all. I commented on the "real" issue that TJ raised about Israel. I believe I commented before anyone that our leaders were superstitious. He responded with more detail and revealed additional information.

  So, I do not understand your sudden "yeah, you go boyeeee" as if delay in posting is somehow silence or opinions cease when talking about Jews. Totally wrong!

  Let's take a brief look at some REAL mass murderers for a change. For example, the POL POHT regime in Cambodia is estimated to have murdered over 5 million of his own population.

  How about Stalin, who trounced Hitler in the "most genocide statistics" during his reign. Do you remember his 5 year "pogroms" against Ukranians, Georgians, etc... Millions lost and destroyed evidence.

  (Per Lisa) The turkish armenian massacre which also took 6 million lives!

  What about Idi Amin Dada in Uganda? Robert Mugabe in Liberia? The list goes on and on and on.

  Good morning. Nice work and I am going to join this "chocolate" boycotting coalition. It's too bad, because I white chocolate happens to be my personal favorite.

  P.S. I am not an extreme left-winger. I always deplored the facade of communism, like religion, that draws followers who wind up exploited by a select few demagogues.

  I don't think I am a right-winger either, I am just somewhere in the middle.

  You raised some very important questions and the government links were informative. I believe it is a major problem.

  Perhaps our leaders are more superstitious than we realize, and given their anglo-saxon WASP backgrounds, they may actually believe it bring's some type of blessing/luck/favor/approval from some divine source to continue assisting Israel.

  Please note that this state of war you are referencing HAS NOT BEEN DECLARED BY CONGRESS. Article V has been invoked by NATO, however, given that there are many terrorists operating in many countries, these declarations and/or use of the word may begin subsiding soon.

  Once the growing coalition realizes that political and financial pressure is the most effective tool at demanding cooperation, that is what will be employed publicly. In the dark, special units and intelligence will be at work to ensure that cooperation is taking place.

  As far as a total worldwide collapse of the global financial system, it could not possibly happen this soon, or in the very near future. The europeans have yet to follow through with replacing individual currencies with the doomed EURO. This fact maintains that individual markets in certain european countries will continue partially isolated and continue their normal operations.

  A small example is Italy. Over 800,000 italians visit the US annually. They along with many other tourists visit our parks and cities. This year of course, most of that group will spend their money at home. Italian Tourism will see a temporary increase this year due to the recent events.

  So, the see-saw effect of globalized trading and commerce has already begun. We will use federal money to shore up any leaks, and the foreign markets will briefly benefit from domestic increases.

  That is just one part of the entire picture. Like LDH and JDUBLA, I also worked in finance for 7 years, although in the technical end.

  As far as not understanding the movements of water, perhaps your bipolar?

  Don't sweat this "digital mosquito" whose main credentials are based on Microshaft Software. If there are possible leaks (and there always are in any network) simply ask your ISP about "filters".

  Perhaps they already employ a filtering/security program. Plug all those netbios leaks and openings and if possible, get off microsoft ASAP.
